Over a blisteringly hot four days in March, the TRT crew and their clients enjoyed a series of spectacular days at the 2008 FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne’s famous Albert Park.

With celebrity challenges, glitz and glamour galore, classic car displays, edge-of-your-seat FI racing, the ever-popular V8 Supercars and plenty of cool refreshments flowing throughout the day, it was excitement all round on and off the track.

Our seats were ideally positioned on the main straight right next to the start/finish line, so the speed, noise and racing was at fever pitch.

As you can see from the photos, everyone got in on the action! Although taking photos of cars travelling well over 200kph did prove a challenge!

Designed to be fun and relaxing without a computer or meeting in sight, TRT regularly hosts these events to say thank you to our loyal clients and to help us all get to know them a little better outside of the usual working environment.

“It’s a great chance for many of our customers to put a face to a name. In technical services especially, it is easy to work with someone for a long time without meeting them face to face,” said Neil Hogarth of TRT.

Those keen enthusiasts that were still left on the Sunday night enjoyed the opportunity to see the legendary KISS and Vanessa Amorosi strut their stuff on centre stage.

Once the ears stopped ringing and the cool of night arrived, we were left with lasting memories of the carnival atmosphere and unique racing experience that is Albert Park.
