In the heart of Melbourne's restaurant precinct of Lygon Street, a crew of TRT clients, family and friends immersed themselves in the taste, smell and history of quality coffee.
Over cheese, Italian Biscotti and, of course, superb coffee, the group discovered how to make and appreciate high-quality coffee, whether using the simple plunger or the latest espresso machine.
From the origins of coffee, types of beans and popular styles, through to using a stovepot top the Italian way and the do's and don'ts of making the perfect coffee, we gained a great deal of knowledge from the expert presenter.
We had a chance to get our hands on the machines and put our new skills into action by making our own creations. Some of the coffees produced were better than others, but we all certainly left with a new appreciation for the Monday morning heart starter. We also left slightly buzzing after too much caffeine!
"This coffee connoisseur course is just one of the regular events we hold to thank our clients for their support and get our customers and crew together in a relaxed atmosphere.
There are no sales presentations and no formalities at all. It's purely a chance for everyone to get together, have some fun and learn something new outside of the usual business relationships.
It's also a great way for clients to catch up with partners, friends or family by bringing them along," said Anne Wyche from TRT, who helps put together these events.
In the past we've experienced FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix, Seafood Cooking Classes, Rugby League action and lots more.
Thanks for coming and stay tuned for more client events coming up.
