The world's fastest meeting!

With the quality of remote support and mobile technologies these days, it's no surprise that technology consultants have less and less reason to see their clients face to face.

While at TRT we are definitely big believers in the benefits of remote support, we also highly value personal relationships and putting a face to a name. That's why we arrange regular events where our staff, clients and partners can get together.

Always a stand-out feature of our events calendar is the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne's spectacular Albert Park. Over two high-energy, high-speed and eardrum bursting days, a dozen of our Victorian based clients joined us to see a dramatic race unfold. With speeds regularly hitting 200km per hour and beyond, it gives new meaning to a quick meeting.

From superb seats right on the start-finish line and with the food and drinks flowing freely, we saw Brawn GP scored a stunning 1-2 victory on debut in the 2009 FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix.

Briton Jenson Button led home team-mate Rubens Barrichello of Brazil in a race that ended dramatically when podium candidates Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull and BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica collided with just three laps to go, putting them out of contention.

Unfortunately, local hero Mark Webber fell victim to a first-lap accident and was classified 13th in the provisional results and last of the cars running at the finish.

Andrew Mead, Business Development Manager, from TRT loved the chance to get out from behind the desk. "Getting to relax and chat to clients on a personal level is really valuable. The day itself is not at all about work, but it does help the working relationship when people know each other personally".

The weekend was topped off by a rocking performance from British legends The Who, however with no die-hard fans in the group, we escaped before the guitars kicked in!
