Operating more than 200 carparks and parking more than 240,000 vehicles every day, Wilson Parking generates huge volumes of business information.
With data growth accelerating across their IT systems, Wilson Parking recognised the need for one centralised backup solution across their multiple sites including Melbourne, Sydney, Belmont, Perth, Singapore and NZ.

Wilson selected IBM Tivoli Storage Manager to backup their fileservers, email servers and database servers and engaged TRT to work with them on the customisation and installation.
The first step was for TRT to take the time to understand both the technical and business requirements for Wilson Parking. By exploring both the short and longer term requirements for the business, TRT could design a data backup, recovery and storage solution to grow and adapt with the business as it grew.
Having vast experience in data storage, TRT were able to configure and install IBM Tivoli Storage Manager across all their sites rapidly and cost-effectively. "We selected TRT due to their proven technical knowledge and business understanding – they knew the issues we were facing. We were certainly impressed by the speed of the installation", said Grant Hurley.

Combining the world-class IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and the expertise of TRT, Wilson Parking now has a centralised backup environment customised to their specific requirements.
TRT were also able to provide helpdesk training and a customised graphical user interface to enable the regional operators to be able to perform common backup and storage tasks quickly and easily, without the need for technical skills.
With busy carparks operating day and night, Wilson Parking cannot afford downtime or system glitches. Since completing the data backup and storage solution, they have now engaged TRT to provide managed IT services and support across the Wilson Parking IT environment including 24/7 supported by a service level agreement.
